Blepharoplasty

Upper Eyelid &/or Lower Eyelid Lift

Blepharoplasty, cosmetic eye surgery also known as an eyelid lift, is performed to improve the appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids. It can be used to treat a variety of issues, including excess skin and fat in the upper eyelids, bags and dark circles under the eyes, and drooping lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty can be performed on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both.

During the procedure, the surgeon will make small incisions in the natural creases of the eyelids or along the lower lash line. Through these incisions, the surgeon will remove excess skin, fat, and muscle as needed. The incisions are then closed with sutures or skin glue.

Blepharoplasty is usually performed as an outpatient procedure, and the patient can usually return to their normal activities within a few days. It is important to follow the post-procedure instructions provided by the surgeon to help ensure the best possible results.
